MAYS LICK Lucille Lang Brooks, 90, of Maysville went to be with her Lord & Savior on Friday February 7, 2014 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe. She was a domestic worker for several area families and was an active and faithful member of Second Baptist Church in May's Lick. She was the widow of Raymond Brooks.
Mrs. Brooks was born near May's Lick on August 19, 1923 daughter of the late Claude Sherman & Bessie Lee Davis Lang.
Survivors include four daughters, Valerie Davis of Chicago, IL, Audrey Vandivier of Cincinnati, OH, Rita (Cecil) Mobley of Lexington, and Marilyn Johnson of Maysville; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Raymond (Renee) Lang of Ocean Springs. MS; and Lawrence (Georgia) Lang of Aurora, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband and a daughter Shirley and a son Kenneth Brooks and two grandsons, Eric & Morris Davis and 7 brothers, George, Richard, Claude, William, Eugene, Russell and Robert Lang; 2 sisters, Anna Lang and Pauline Smith.
Services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday at Second Baptist Church in May's Lick with Rev. L. Rodney Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the May's Lick Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 P.M.
