Lynn Edward Insko, 70, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at his home in Winchester after a brief illness. He was born in Mason County, on June 21st, 1945 to the late Beatrice Sanders and Owen Davis Insko. He was a graduate of Mason County High School, and retired from IBM/Lexmark in 1992, he then began his second career becoming a nationally known leather craftsman. Lynn enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his yard. He loved fishing and took his first grandson out on his homemade boat this summer. He loved family trips: camping and fishing at Cave Run Lake and beach trips to Destin, Fla.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Davis Insko.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Julia Poe Insko; two sons Brent Insko and Brad (Staci) Insko of Portland, Ore.; and two grandchildren, Noah
and Owen Insko.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3 PM on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick with the Rev. David C. Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in the Shannon Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Bob and Chuck Insko, Bob and Robert Poe, Stephen Hall and Glynn Broner. Honorary pall bearers are Larry Poe, Joe and Debbie Barnes, Scotty Fulton, Buck Eades, and Pat Lloyd. Visitation will be held from 1 – 3 PM on Thursday at the Funeral Home.
