Marjorie Lennex Hargett, 81, well-known resident of Maysville passed away peacefully Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Maysville Nursing & Rehab Facility.

Mrs. Hargett was born in Maysville on April 5, 1938 daughter of the late Everett H. & Venna E. Hayslip Lennex.  Margorie was a 1957 graduate of Maysville High School and a graduate of the UK College of Nursing.    She was a retired Registered Nurse and a Real Estate Agent and a Kentucky Colonel.  She was a member of St. Patrick Church and St. Rose of Lima Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a past board member of the American Red Cross and was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Senior Saints and numerous volunteer organizations of St. Patrick School and Church.

Survivors include a daughter Lisa (Ricky) Thompson of May's Lick, a son David E. Simms of Morehead; five grandchildren, Will Thompson, Stacey Barnett, Leabeth, Heather and Mallory Simms; a brother Bill Lennex of Maysville; a sister Janet Howard of Seaman , OH; special family, Mary A. Jones, Charlotte & Tony Wenz and Barb Reynolds.  She was preceded in death by two husbands, Everett E. Simms and Bernard C. Hargett; a grandson Matthew Thompson and a granddaughter, Nicole Simms; a brother Freddie Lennex and and two sisters Betty Jane Lennox and Nellie Lewis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 P.M. Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at St. Patrick Church with Rev. Eric Boelscher and Rev. Andrew Young officiating.  Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the St Patrick Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. Monday at the church.  In lieu of flowers memorials suggested to St Rose of Lima Church or St. Patrick Church.  Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory of May's Lick is serving the family.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
