Marguerite Swartz Howard, 89, of Maysville passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Maysville Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility.
Mrs. Howard was born in Robertson County on December 15, 1925 daughter of the late Clifton & Effie Jefferson Swartz. She was a former employee of Dillon's General Store and Post Office in Sardis and later Hayswood Hospital. Marguerite was a member of Washington United Methodist Church and was a 1946 graduate of May's Lick High School. She enjoyed working in flowers, cooking, knitting and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Charles Elmer "Pete" Swartz and a nephew Roy Swartz.
Survivors include her devoted husband, James M. Howard; 2 step-sons, James B. Howard of Louisville and Phillip Howard of Hollywood, CA and a step daughter, Tracy Passafume of Louisville; 2 great nephews, Rick (Sonya) Swartz of Lexington and Randy (Bobbie) Swartz of Versailles and 2 great nieces, Melinda (Ernie) Hendrix and Michelle (Jerry) Gardner both of Versailles.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick with Rev. Jerry Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery. Visitation 4-7 P.M.
