MAYS LICK   Marty Joe Mason, 54, of Maysville died Monday, March 25, 2013 at his home.  He spent many years as an iron worker  in Texas and several other states prior to a serious auto accident that left him permanently disabled in 1997.
Marty was born in Maysville on April 13, 1958 son of Ruby Bailey Chamblin and step father Robert Chamblin Sr. of Maysville.
Survivors other than his mother and step- father are 2 daughters, Kortnee Mason and Shayne Mason both of Texas.  A sister, Crystal Mason of Maysville survives as well as a step-brother, Robert Chamblin Jr. of Maysville and a step-sister, Lisa Chamblin of Lexington.
Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, March 29, 2013 at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick with Dr. Michael Rice officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenton Bailey, Darrel Bivens, Mark McElroy, Bob Chamblin, Jr., Rick Bailey and Jeff Teegarden.  Visitation Noon until 2 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
