Mary Jo Henson, 96, of Mount Olivet, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville, Ky.

Born in Robertson County on March 31, 1930,  her father was the late Joe Henry Henson and and her mother was the late Leola Manning Henson.

Mary graduated from Deming High School and worked for 32 years at the Mt. Olivet Post office, retiring as the Postmaster.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, Glenn P. Henson and Lloyd B. Montgomery;  her sister, Charlotte Standiford of Nicholas County;  and her two brothers, Bobby G. Henson and wife Ann of Robertson County and Donald M. Henson of Miami, Fla.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Memorial services at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church are being planned and will be announced later.
