February 18, 1939 – August 1, 2023
Mina Frances Stears, 84 of Germantown passed away on Tuesday, August 1,2023 at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg. Mina was born in Fleming County on February18,1939 daughter of the late Raymond & Beatrice Newsom Gulley. She was a member of Germantown Baptist Church and enjoyed cleaning & fixing houses and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by two children, Greg Jefferson and Deborah Jefferson Scott; five sisters, Faye Wagoner, Jewell Huber, Marie Giese, Rethea Marie Gulley and Jean Boone; three brothers, Raymond Gulley, Jr., Charles Gulley and Randall Ray Gulley. Survivors include her husband of 39 years Walter Stears; two grandchildren, Shannon Fulton and Shara Lofton; four great grandchildren, Carter & Ashlyn Fulton, Xzavur Hamilton and Cakestun Lofton;four sisters, Judy Clark, Tina Yoakam, Ruby Riggs and Sue Mingee; a brother J.B. Gulley; and two stepsons, Scotty & Kevin Stears.
Services will be 1 P.M. Monday, August 7, 2023 at Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory in May's Lick with Rev. Paul Gray officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
