Monica Sue Scott Maynard 74, of Maysville, passed away suddenly March 21,2023 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center.

Monica was a retired secretary for Mason County Schools. She was the daughter of the late Dan G. Scott and Virginia Osborne Scott.

She was an avid Kentucky Wildcat Fan and a basketball enthusiast.

Survivors include her son Scott Maynard and wife Natalie of Eaton, Ohio, grandchildren Lauren Gracie, Abby June and Alex John Maynard also of Eaton, Ohio . Two sisters Ann Scott Porter (Allen} of Maysville and Dana Kay Thomas (Walter) of Fort Myers, Florida. She also leaves a nephew Aric Scott Porter (Beverly) of Lexington, KY. and a niece Jenna Thomas Baum {Matt} of Ft, Myers Florida and several great nieces and nephews Beau and Danica Porter , Lexington ,Ky and Logan and Mackenzie Baum Ft. Myers ,Florida. Also a very special friend Jenny Sue Redmond of Maysville, KY.

Monica was a member of the Minerva United Methodist Church where she was often a soloist for services, and a member of the Fernleaf Extension Homemakers she enjoyed attending when she was able.

A Memorial service will be private for family and close friends at a later date.
