MAYS LICK  Ona Moran, 81, of Sardis passed away Monday at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.  She was the widow of Marvin Moran whose death occurred in 1971.
Mrs. Moran was born in Fleming County on June 19, 1930 daughter of the late A. T. &  Mamie Duncan McFarland.
Survivors include 3 sons, Larry D. Moran of Maysville, Verlin Moran of Sardis, Wentzel (Kay) Moran of May's Lick and a daughter; Linda C. (Steve) Persinger of Cynthiana.  6 grandchildren, Damon Moran, Travis Persinger, Taisha Hedges, Brandon, Brady and Aaron Moran. 7 great-grandchildren also survive and a brother Shelby McFarland of Fleming Co.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick with Rev. Delbert Dawes officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
