"Tuffy" Miller
February 28, 1950 – February 16, 2025
FAIRVIEW Orville W. "Tuffy" Miller, 74 of the Fairview community near Ewing passed away on Sunday, February 16,2025 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center with his family by his side. "Tuffy" was born in Mason County on February 28, 1950 son of the late Orville Miller, Sr. and Anna Mary Doyle Miller. He was a retired farmer, heavy equipment operator, and long- distance truck driver with a three- million- mile safe driving award. During his heavy equipment operations, Tuffy exposed the oldest professional dug artifact in the Americas. It is one of three artifacts new to science that he indirectly exposed. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his wife Louise Pogue Miller; son Mark (Emily) Miller; step-son, Patrick (Tracy) Stanton; two step daughters, Melissa (Kevin) Hall, Mary (John) Brannen; four granddaughters, three great grandsons, and five great grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Price (Jake) Dalton and Bonnie (Andrew) McCall and his special pet dog, Mary Miller.
Services will be conducted at 6 P.M. Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Fairview with Brother Matt Watson officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 at the church. Memorials suggested to Hospice of Hope or Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church C/O Patricia Tolliver, 198 Dogwood Dr. Ewing, KY 41039. Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory of May's Lick is serving the family.
