Obituary

Patricia Nelson Mains (Browning), born on October 8, 1949, in Maysville, Kentucky, to Nelson Browning and Marian Gibson Browning, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Patricia graduated from Morehead State University and spent her life cultivating a love for fine antiques and enjoying the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jerry Mains, with whom she shared a life filled with love and devotion. Together, they built a home full of warmth, raising their children and creating lasting memories.

Patricia was known for her kind heart and generous spirit. She was always giving, helping others in any way she could. Her faithful dog, Huck, was her constant companion and best friend, always by her side.

Patricia is survived by her children, Lori Lang (Jason), Peterjon Mains (Wendy) and Tyler Mains. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Janet Taylor and Diana Browning, her many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who all hold dearly the many memories they shared.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Patricia's life at 1 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory in May's Lick, Kentucky with Dr. Mike Rice officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow in the May's Lick Cemetery where her family and friends will come together to honor her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity.
