Paul W. Stitt, 87 of May's Lick passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Robertson County Health Care Facility. He was a retired tobacco, cattle and dairy farmer.
Mr. Stitt was born in Robertson County on June 1, 1927 son of the late William & Lucy Hitt Stitt. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Sardis Assembly of God and Simon Kenton Post #2734 VFW.
Survivors include his sons, Paul D. (Deborah) Stitt and Allen (Missy) Stitt of May's Lick. Three grandchildren Brandi Stitt, Tanisha Ruth Stitt and Christina Ivy Stitt; a great grandchild Dylan Eslinger. He was preceded his wife Ivy Ruth Ginn Stitt in 1969 and a brother Thomas Stitt; nine sisters, Emma Duble, Delores Purcell, Margaret Ellison, Thelma Gallagher, Ida Dotson, Audrey Fulton Marcella Huddleston, Ruby Hurst and Verna May. Numerous nieces & nephews also survive.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick with Pastor Kevin Clos officiating. Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 P.M.
