Pearl "Tiny" Dunigan, 63, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on May 20, 1962, in Mason County, Kentucky to the late James and Milda Hamilton Evans.
Pearl completed her education at Mason County High School and was employed at Ponderosa in Maysville for several years. She enjoyed fishing, listening to old country music and spending time with her family. Pearl was an avid bingo player and card player. She was a joy to be around, always making people laugh. Pearl loved the Lord and always looked forward to attending church services when she could. She always stayed positive, remained faithful, and genuinely enjoyed life. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pearl is preceded in death by her parents, James, and Milda Evans; husband, Melburn Dunigan; one granddaughter, Kirsten Leann Thoroughman, and brother, James Robert Evans.
She leaves behind two sons, Richard (Makayla Hardymon) Thoroughman, Thomas Thoroughman; caregiver and sister, Betty (Daniel Compos) Evans, special nephew and caregiver, Greg (David Henderson) Dugan; brothers Timothy Evans, James Evans-John Boyd; sisters, Clara Fite, Ruth (Tracy) Dugan; stepdad, Harold Moore; grandchildren, Molly, Hunter, Jayden, Richard; nieces and nephews, Kassie Evans, Kayla Evans, Christopher Case, Anthony Case, Brandon Case, Chelsey Barnett, Heather Dugan, Tracy Dugan, Esther Fite, Elmer Fite, Shelby Manley; friend Jean Doyle and a host of extended family and friends. Pearl also leaves behind her family at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation to whom she became so close.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick, KY. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
The Dunigan family would like to extend their heart felt appreciation to the staff at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation for their outstanding care and compassion they displayed for Pearl.
