Mr. Phillip Gene May, 62 of Maysville, Kentucky went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, December 5, 2013 after a long battle with cancer.  He was the son of Verna Stitt May and the late Emmitt Gene May.

Mr. May was a member of the Sardis Assembly of God, a 30 year employee of Maysville Ready Mix as a Truck Driver and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as a Mechanic Specialist IV,

Besides his father he was also preceded in death by his brother, Denny H. May, and his longtime companion, Alice Duff.

In addition to his mother, Mr. May is also survived by his siblings; Vicki (Ray) Barbee of Circleville, Ohio, Michael F. May of Maysville, Angela (Jack) Shannon of May's Lick, Christopher (Missy) May of Maysville, and Mark (Crystal) May of Panhandle, Ohio, a Step Daughter, Wesia Rigdon, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 1 PM, on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Sardis Assembly of God Church.  Serving as Pallbearers will be; Michael May, Chris May, Mark May, Jamie Barbee, Jason Barbee, Nathan May, Trent May, Jack Shannon, Jr. and Joushua Shannon.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey Brown, Will Lee and Kenny Cark.  Interment will follow in the Shannon Cemetery with Full Military rites by Simon Kenton Post #2734.  Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 PM Monday at the Church.  The Palmer Funeral Home of May's Lick is serving the Family.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
