MAY'S LICK Phillip Morgan, 56 of May's Lick went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville after a long illness. He was a retired employee of Toyota Manufacturing and previously had been employed by Browning Manufacturing and Means-Aratex as sales representative and district manager.
Phillip was born in Lexington on October 16, 1956 son of the late Phillip A. "Jack" Morgan and LaFern Thompson Mingee. He was a 1974 graduate of Mason County High School and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and loved to share his talents of singing, guitar playing and his testimony with friends.
Survivors include his wife Vicki Dillon Morgan and the couple married on June 15, 1985. 2 sons, Jason Morgan of Hillsboro, OH and Nick Morgan of May's Lick and a daughter Mindy Ashcraft of Maysville. Also surviving is a brother, Charles (Donna) Morgan of Maysville and 2 grandchildren, Zachary Ashcraft and Christopher Jason Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roy Morgan.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene in Maysville with the Rev. Calvin Hall and Rev. Lonnie Blosser officiating. Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery with active pallbearers, Gary Adamson, Chuck Vonderhaar, Ted Ralston, Kevin Carpenter, Terry Fryman and Roscoe Fite. Honorary Pallbearers are Carl McCormick, Ollie Fryman, Lonnie Hutchison, Timmy Reese, Jed Soward, Kenny Breeze and Mike Merrill. Visitation 5-8 P.M. Friday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home of May's Lick is serving the family.
