Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, best friend, and loved one, Phyllis Jean Moran, who gained her wings on August 10, 2026, at the age of 59.

Phyllis was born on August 8, 1967, in Georgetown, Ohio. She was a loving mother who dedicated her life to her family and the people she loved. Her presence, her strength, her personality, and the love she gave will forever remain a part of the lives of those who knew her.

Phyllis worked at Pasquale’s for many years until she retired a couple of years ago after becoming ill. She was a hardworking woman who always did what she could for the people she loved.

She leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Clara Brooks, Jessica Brooks, and Anthony Turner, who will forever carry their mother’s love in their hearts.

She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Ke’Ana Brooks, Labreya McLaurin, Tayvion Golsby, Rakiyah Brooks, and Lashia Washington, who will forever remember the love and memories they shared with their grandmother. She also leaves to cherish her memory her brothers, William “Peanut” Brooks and Clarence “Boog” Brooks, along with their children, grandchildren, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Deborah Williams, Clarence Brooks and Larry Williams; her brothers, Ronald Brooks of Maysville, Kentucky, and Butch Brooks of Fostoria, Ohio; and her best friends, Roberta Brooks, Brenda Morton, & Michelle Jackson

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every moment, every memory, every laugh, every lesson, and every bit of love she gave us. Her life was a gift, and her memory will be a blessing that we carry with us forever.

Mama, you fought your fight, and now it’s time for you to rest.

You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts.

Rest peacefully, Mama.

We love you. We miss you. Until we meet again. 🕊️❤️
