MAYS LICK Ralph M. White, 93, former resident of Maysville passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2012 at Johnson Mathers Nursing Home in Carlisle. He was a retired employee of the City of Maysville and a member of May's Lick Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II and four years and nine months of his service was spent at sea. His combat service took him into the invasion of Normandy, southern France, Okinawa and Iwo Jima.
Mr. White was born in Rabbit Hash, KY on Oct. 5, 1919 son of the late Ralph H. & Elizabeth Shenkle White. He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Pearl Tatman White on September 23, 2007 and a son Stanley White ; daughter Donna White Vankeuren and a sister Betty White Dearinger.
Survivors include a daughter, Dixie (Steve) Carpenter of Carlisle; three sons, Robin (Tracy) White of Aberdeen, Roger (Gayle) Mullikin and Allen (Betty) Mullikin of Maysville. 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and a brother Edmund "Gene" (Ann) White of New York.
Services will be conducted at Noon on Tuesday, Jan 29, 2013 at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick with Rev. David Cheek officiating. Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery with military rites by Simon Kenton Post # 2734. Visitation 10 A.M. Tuesday until the hour of the service. Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
