Ramona Mae Malm, 85 passed away in her daughters arms on May 22, 2014 after a two year battle with interstitial lung disease. She was born on July 23, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska to John and Bessie Mae Timperley.
Ramona married on April 3, 1947 to Robert Malm, they subsequently moved to San Diego, California. She had future moves in her later years to California and Nevada. In December 2010 she moved with her daughter and son-in-law to reside in beautiful Maysville, Kentucky. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Maysville and was most grateful for the time she spent in Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 57 years in who passed away in 2004, as well as her four brothers, James, John, Richard and Edward. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her only child Jeanene (Clifford) Russell of Maysville, Kentucky.
Ramona loved being a stay at home mom and was dedicated to ensuring there were fun times, learning opportunities and plenty of party's for Jeanene and her girlfriends. She enjoyed reading and was especially fond of musicals and the theatre.
Without a doubt, the most gratuitous and selfless of ladies, she always thought of others before herself. She never had a cross word about anyone, she truly was an angel on earth. So many friends and family who remain are richer for having known her.
Private services and interment will take place at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego on August 1, 2014 at 10 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to The Maysville Players at P.O. Box 537, Maysville, KY 41056 in her honor. Palmer Funeral Home of May's Lick is serving the family. Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
