IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard "Richy"
Bradford Jr.
February 9, 1967 – September 11, 2025
Richard Bradford Jr., 58, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Meadowview Reginal Medical Center. Born on February 9, 1967, in Lexington, Kentucky to Toddy Adamson Dugan and the late Richard Bradford. Richy was a 1985 graduate of Mason County High School and worked as an automotive mechanic for many years. He attended and worshiped at May's Lick Lighthouse Church. He had an immense talent and love for working on trucks, cars, bikes, and everything in between. Richy devoted considerable time to repairs and mechanical work in his garage. He demonstrated a strong commitment to his profession and consistently provided for his family. He enjoyed playing pool and singing karaoke to good ole country music. Although he spent most of his time in the garage, his greatest passion was riding his motorcycle. An avid Harley Davidson man, he and his wife loved to ride and were members of the Buffalo Trace Southern Cruisers 467 Riding Club. They participated in many charity bike rides for St. Judes Children's Hospital. Richy was selfless, kind-hearted, and always eager to lend a helping hand to others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Richy is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ivan and Ruth Adamson, Cecil, and Cora Bradford; father, Richard Bradford; special dad, Tony Dugan and his mother and father-in-law, Bruce and Carrie McCann. Those left to carry on his loving legacy are his wife of forty one years, Kim McCann Bradford, his adored daughter, Regina (Billy) Mitchell; his mother, Toddy Adamson Dugan; grandchildren, Eli (Rilee Smith) Mitchell, BJ Mitchell, Amber Mitchell; brothers, Travis (Amy) Bradford, Rodney (Emiley) Bradford; special step-mother, Janet Bradford; step-siblings, Steve Dugan, Tonya Wheeler, Todd (Susan) Dugan; special nieces, Bobbi Jo Pollitt and Kayla Highfield; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and dear friends. Richy also leaves behind his fellow bikers and friends of the Buffalo Trace Southern Cruisers 467 and his loyal canine companion, Mitt. Funeral services will be held at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick, KY at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 18, 2025, with Pastor Danny Howard officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. A second visitation will begin at 1:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday for friends and family. Richy will be laid to rest in the Green Acers Cemetery in Maysville, KY.
