After a difficult battle with cancer, Dick left this life far too soon. Dick was known for his love of God and family, his strong work ethic and steady leadership. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, selfless service and endless dedication to family, friends, church and coworkers alike. Dick had a successful career, but first and foremost, he was a family man, always envisioning a better world for all of us and executing projects to fulfil his dreams. In retirement, Dick cared for his elderly parents and actualised his dream of building a home place, overlooking the Ohio River, cultivating land once forgotten. He traveled the world with his cherished wife and played with his adoring grandchildren. He lived a life full of love and purpose, setting a shining example for us to follow in his legacy. Dick had no regrets. During his tenure at Farm Credit Mid-America, starting first as an intern in 1982 in Louisville, KY and then loan officer in Washington Court House, OH, Dick held many positions throughout the company. Ultimately, he served in many leadership roles. After a distinguished 40-year career, Dick retired as Executive Vice President of Financial Services in December 2017, where he left a lasting impact on all with whom he worked. Dick was active in the Louisville Ag Club, including as past president, Kentucky FFA, and the UK Alumni Association. He enjoyed playing the voice and personality of Freddie Farm Bureau at the Kentucky State Fair. He was active in his community and church alike. Dick was a member at Southside Christian Church in Washington Court House, Crestwood Baptist Church and Southeast Christian Church in Crestwood, KY and at May's Lick Christian Church and served in various capacities. Dick received both a B.S. and M.S from the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture and completed a graduate degree from the Graduate School of Banking at University of Louisiana in Baton Rouge.
