Robert E. "Bob" Collins, 78, of Maysville passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at his home.
Bob was born in Robertson County on April 9, 1938 son of the late Lee Otis & Bessie Sloan Collins.  He was a retired Supervisor with Emerson Power Transmission and a former Police Chief with the City of Washington, KY.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War where he received a Silver Star and a Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Lamont Collins.  2 sons,  Robert E. (Christine) Collins, Jr. of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Lee Otis Collins of Aberdeen;  3 sisters, Dolores Henson of Brooksville, Linda Hord, Sue (Judy Gordon) Cooper all of Maysville; 2 brothers, Richard (Bonnie) Collins and David (Carolyn) Collins both of Maysville.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be at the Convenience of the Family.  No visitation.  Memorials suggested to Hospice of Hope or to your favorite charity.  Palmer Funeral Home of May's Lick is serving the family.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
