MAYS LICK  Roger Gifford, 82, of Flemingsburg passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Fleming County Hospital.  He was a tobacco & diary farmer.  His wife, Helen Jefferson Gifford died on August 21, 2003.
Mr. Gifford was born in Robertson County on February 27, 1930 son of the late Claude & Madie Cooper Gifford.
Survivors include 3 sons, Roger Wayne Gifford of Cincinnati; Gerald (Sue) Gifford and William Dale (Connie) Gifford of Flemingsburg; 2 daughters, Mary (Real) Gagnon of Aberdeen and Roxanne (Kevin) Lawrence of May's Lick.  11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren also survive.  He was preceded in death by his wife and 2 brothers, Jack and Lovell Gifford; 4 sisters, Rebecca Adamson; Elva Reed; Imogene Myers and Mary Katherine Myers.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday at Palmer Funeral Home in May's Lick with Bro. Doug Wright officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery.  Visitation 10 A.M. Saturday until the hour of the service at the funeral home.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
