Ronnie Alfred Riggs, 74, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at St. Joseph Health Care in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on February 9, 1951, to the late Elzia and Juanita Gilbert Riggs.

Ronnie proudly served his country as a United States Marine for several years. After his time in the service he returned home where he worked in manufacturing in downtown Maysville before retiring. He was a hard worker, devoted brother, and his best role, a loving Papaw.

Ronnie is loved and missed by his sisters, Bonnie (Bob) Bradford, Ruth Ann Martin; brother, Ricky Riggs; stepson, Michael (Laura) Wheeler; grandsons, Damion Wheeler, Caleb Wheeler; sister-in-law, Darlene Brown, and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elzia and Juanita Riggs; his loving wife, Ruth Ellen Riggs; brothers, David Riggs, James Riggs and his sisters, Judy Ruark and Mary Simmons.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in honor of Ronnie's name to the Maysville Animal Shelter 301 River Drive, Maysville, KY 41056.

In keeping with Ronnie's last wishes, he will be cremated, and no formal services will be held at this time.
