Roxanne Stitt Paynter, 64, of Carlisle, KY passed away at her home on Monday, March 16, 2026. She was born on August 2, 1961, in Mason County to Brenda Gifford Stitt and the late Arnold Stitt.

Roxanne appreciated simplicity. She was witty and always knew how to make others laugh. Whenever she had the opportunity, she enjoyed watching COPS, The First 48, or a captivating Lifetime movie. Roxanne enjoyed shopping trips with her mother, and she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and family most of all.

Roxanne is preceded in death by her father, Arnold Stitt, and aunt Glenda Sue Curtis.

Her mom, Brenda Gifford Stitt; son, Joshua Allen (Lori) Paynter of Paris, KY; her grandchildren, Josh Alan (Maekayla) Paynter and Zackary Paynter both of Paris, KY; one great grandson, Jackson Davis Paynter; brother, Lennie Ray Stitt of Paris, KY; several aunts and uncles, Joyce (Jimmy) Thackston, Brenda Stitt Roush of Lexington, KY, Billy (Libby) Stitt of Mt. Olivet, KY, Dale (Dina) Stitt of May’s Lick, KY, several cousins, extended family and close friends who will miss her deeply.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Hoawrd officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.
