Ruth Ann Wallingford, 87, of Maysville, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. She was born in Mason County on December 8, 1937, to the late Richard and Edna Rankin Howell.

Ruth worked at the U.S. Shoe Factory for many years while raising a family. She had a passion for cooking and enjoyed taking vacations, but above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren the most.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Charlotte (Charles) Courtney, Dana Fawley, Kelly (Brandon) Clark; eight grandchildren, Chad Fawley, Dylan Courtney, Colyn Courtney, Jaclyn Killingsworth, Wesley Evans, Griffin Evans, Harley Wenz; nine great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Edna Howell; husband of 68 years, Eldon Wallingford; sister, Bette Hook; brother, Arvid Howell; granddaughter, Meghan Gallagher, and great grandson, Austin Wenz.

Memorial donations may be made in Ruth's name to the Mason County Animal Shelter.

In keeping with Ruth Ann's wishes, no formal services will be held at this time. Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory are serving and assisting the family.
