S.C. Shepherd II, of May's Lick passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.  S.C. was born in May's Lick on June 2,1945 son of the late Jack T. & Cecil Brierly Shepherd.  He was a graduate of Mason County High School where he was active in the Future Farmers of America (FFA), and received the American Farmer Award in 1965.  He was a member of Sardis Christian Church, and enjoyed farming, spending time with his family, and his dogs.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Bonnie Cox Shepherd; two sons, David Shepherd (Donna Roberts), Steven Shepherd (Mary Jo); two daughters, Deborah Holland (Everett "Bud") and Cindy Taylor.  Nine grandchildren, Christopher Holland, John Xavier Bryant, Kaleb Bryant, Ethan Taylor, Mary Katherine Shepherd, James Shepherd, Jack Shepherd, Elizabeth Boswell and Chancelor James Shepherd.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Clara Williams and a grandchild and a nephew Greg Williams.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Highland Christian Church from 4-6 P.M.  Memorials suggested to Hospice of Hope.  Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
