Sherman P. Saunders, 76, of Mason County passed away on Sunday, September 10,2023 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center. Mr. Saunders was born in Montgomery County on February 21,1947 son of the late Edward G. & Gladys Lyons Saunders. He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Sherman was an avid fan of tractor pulls and a 1965 graduate of Mason County High School.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years Margaret McKee Saunders; two sons, Shawn (Valerie) Saunders and Shane Saunders; a granddaughter, Lindsey Saunders; two sisters, Emma Jo Lashbrooke and Amy S. Parker; and a brother J R (Christy) May.  He was preceded in death by a brother Clarence Edward Saunders and a sister Delores Saunders Frownfelter.

Services will be conducted at 3 P.M. Saturday at Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory in May's Lick with Pastor Larry Manning officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Baptist Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1-3 P.M.
