Sonia M. Owens, 94, of Maysville passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at the Maysville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  She was born on June 5, 1927, in Mason County, Kentucky to the late William & Myrtle Rice Peters.

Sonia was retired from the Meadowview Regional Medical Center and was a devout member of the Scott United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Patricia Danner, and her former husband, Frank Owens.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Sharon Owens of Columbus, OH, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, her brother Eugene (Billie) Peters of Lewisburg, a special friend, McKinley Walker and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1pm Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory in May's Lick with the Rev. Claude T. Commodore officiating.  Interment will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 12 noon – 1 pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home.  The Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory of May's Lick is serving the family.  Online condolences may be given at www.palmerfuneralhome.net
