Susan Braun Pfeffer Schumacher, 70, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, from  Myelodysplastic Syndrome She was born on August 28th, 1954, to the late Chris Eugene and Mary McHugh Pfeffer.

Susan was a devoted Catholic and lifelong member of Saint Patrick Church in Maysville. She retired from the Maysville Community College bookstore after many years of service.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, son, Dr. Anthony Schumacher (Melissa), and grandchildren, Jack and Caroline.

She is also survived by her sisters, Carol Pfeffer, Teresa Slack (William), Ellen Teegarden (Jeff), and brother, Chris Pfeffer, sister-in-law Rose Schumacher and brother-in-law, Ed Schumacher (Nancy). Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Ann Schumacher, and sisters-in-law, Mary Margaret Schumacher and Maureen Gordon Pfeffer.

A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Flemingsburg with Rev. Phillip DeVous officiating.
