MAYSVILLE Thomas "Tom" Kinney, Jr. 87, of Maysville passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at his residence. He and his wife Jo Ann True Kinney where married on July 31, 1949.
He was born in Brooksville on October 25, 1925 son of the late Thomas Hancock & Alma Jett Kinney. He was a former owner and operator of K&K Farm Service and Kinney's Chrysler and was a member of New Hope Christian Church. He served as a Merchant Marine in WW II and was a former Boy Scott Leader in Brooksville. His love for flowers garden was very eminent in their beauty.
Tom was a quiet man and was a man who loved God first, his wife and his family. He always put others first which displayed his selfless love.
Survivors other than his wife are three daughters, Judy Johnson and Martha (Jeff) Perkins both of Maysville and Hope Kinney (Danny) Pfeffer of Bradenton, FL; Three sons, Joe Kinney of Sarasota, FL, Tracy (Tina) Kinney and Derek Kinney of Maysville. Ten grandchildren, Jared Perkins, Scott Johnson, Justin Kinney, Beth Johnson, Kyle Pfeffer, Lori Kinney Malone, Jordan Johnson, Jonathan Kinney, Gavin Perkins, Bradley Kinney and Fifteen great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Mildred Downing, Georgia Moore and Margaret Rumford.
Services will be conducted at 7:30 P.M. Monday at New Hope Christian Church with Michael Stephenson officiating. Burial will be private at the Rosemont Cemetery in Dover. Visitation 4 until 7 P.M.
