Verbena Scott, 86, of Maysville passed away peacefully at Maysville Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility after a lengthy illness.  She was born in Maysville on March 8, 1933 daughter of the late Camie S. & Lillie Finny Scott.

Survivors include four sisters, Essie Mae Clark of Maysville; Edith M. Carter of Washington, DC; Geneva Scott of Louisville; and Beulah Jackson of Flemingsburg.  Several nieces & nephews including a special niece Donna Lynn Burns and special friends and caregivers John & Elizabeth Chamberlain also survive.  She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brother including John Scott.

Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Washington Missionary Baptist Church, 504 Clark St. Maysville with Pastor Darrell Ashby officiating.  Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11 AM until 1 PM at the church on Thursday.  Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory of May's Lick is serving the family.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
