Wayne Humphrey, 67, of Maysville passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 9, 2014 at his home. He was a parts and sales manager for Mann Chrysler in Maysville. His 49- year automotive career began with Carpenter & Dillon Motors and later Carpenter Motors in Maysville and his service continued until the present owners of the dealership Mann Chrysler.
Mr. Humphrey was born in May's Lick on June 19, 1947 son of the late Joseph William & Helen Louise Turney Humphrey. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in May's Lick and was an avid fisherman and sports fan. He was a graduate of Mason County High School.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Wanda Breckenridge Humphrey. 2 daughters, Ursula Gail (Steven) Leath of Lake Saint Louis, MO and Misti Tennille Humphrey of Maysville; 3 grandchildren, Weylin Shamar Humphrey, Ashton Kohl Humphrey and Jaydon Larmarn Leath; a sister Karen Jo (Gary) Wormley and a nephew Gary J.. Wormley of Maysville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Jordan Brice Leath; and grandparents Joseph & Pauline Humphrey and Raymond & Bessie Turney.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, November 13, 2014 at First Baptist Church on Market St. in Maysville with Rev. Tony Liess officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery.
