William (Billy) Cecil Johnson, 81 of Maysville passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Meadoview Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Johnson was born on September 2, 1932 in Maysville to the late Oliver McKenzie Johnson & Mary Frances Ewing.  He retired from Kentucky Utilities after 20 plus years of service, Emerson Electric with 30 years of service, and most recently the City of Maysville with 10 plus years of service.

Mr. Johnson was a compassionate all around sports fan.  His favorite pastime was "watching the horses run".  Most notably he was a dedicated man who never met a stranger, and was a valued member of the Valley Sportsmen Club.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Johnson, 2 sisters; Fannie Johnson & Julia Hodge, and three precious grandchildren.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 57 years, Ann L. Turney Johnson, his beloved children; Denese Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida, Billie Carol (Larry) Lofton and Shae (Pastor Kevin ) Gibbs both of McDonough, Georgia, Deron Johnson of Maysville, Mary Humphrey of Lexington and Lori (Damian) Shields of Norton, Kansas, a brother, Ollie Johnson of Dayton, Ohio, 2 Sisters; Rosebud Dudley of Maysville & Alice Kirk Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio, 11 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Second Baptist Church in May's Lick with Rev. L.  Rodney  Bennett officiating.  Burial will follow in the May's Lick Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Simon Kenton Post # 2734.  Visitation 11 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
