Carl Thomas “Buck” Mitchell, 79 of Maysville passed away Monday, June 7, 2021, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe. He was born on June 23, 1941, in May’s Lick to the late Eck L. & Elizabeth Wright Mitchell.
Buck graduated from the May’s Lick High School in 1960 and served briefly in the United States Army. He was retired from Browning Manufacturing. He was an avid UK basketball fan and enjoyed golf, the Moose & Eagle’s Lodges and was a devout and steadfast husband, father & grandfather to his loving family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Hope Lang.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Glenda Ackley Mitchell, his son, Mike (Trish) Mitchell of Fort Myers, Florida, his daughter, Michelle (Larry Reed) Lang of Maysville, his Grandchildren, Ryan (Cassie) Mitchell, Seth Mitchell, Josh Mitchell, Eddie (Laney) Lang, Amanda Lang & Brittany (Dylan) Garrison, his great grandchildren, Drew & Clay Nickell, Zaccary Lang, Hailey McCord, Kayley Lucas, Jarrah Lucas, Cadence & Lillian Garrison, Bryson Mitchell, Liam Mitchell, Marley Mitchell, Iris Lemon Mitchell, Maahlik Felder, Owen F. New & Willow Mitchell, & three sisters, Helen (Wendell) Brooks, Margaret Tanner & Linda (Larry) Grimes.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 pm on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory in May’s Lick with Pastor Wendell Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in the May’s Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 noon – 2pm on Sunday at the Funeral Home.
