Carolyn Joyce Brooks, 83, of Maysville, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. She was born in May's Lick on November 13, 1938 daughter of the late John & Elizabeth Bolden Turner. Carolyn was a 50- year employee of PCP Champion in Ripley, OH. On her time off she enjoyed doing puzzles, reading magazines, and yard sales. Above all she loved spending time with her family. She was better known as Maw-maw to most that new her. She was a very strong woman. Carolyn will truly be missed.
Survivors include four daughters, Jovetta Brooks, Jackie Brooks, Vickie Brooks, and Stacy Brooks a son James “T.J” Brooks; twenty- one grandchildren, 32 great grand- children and four great-great grandchildren; seven sisters, Delores Turner, Jennifer Turner, Janette Turner, Christie Turner of Maysville, Pat Dawson, Sandra Johnson, and Delores Mitchell of Dayton, OH; three brothers, Thomas Turner, Jerome Turner and Terry Turner; and a great friend Frances Commodore. She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey L. Brooks; three children, Darey Brooks Harvey Brooks and Jamie Brooks a grandson Brian Brooks; two sisters, Sherri & Betty Turner; two brothers, Charles Anthony Decembly and John Turner.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Monday, February 7, 2022 at Scott United Methodist Church in Maysville with Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Baptist Cemetery. Visitation at the church from 11 A.M. until the hour of the service at the church. Arrangements under the direction of the Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory of May’s Lick.
