Donald S. "Don" Boone

Donald S. Boone, 77, of Maysville passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at his home.  Don was born in Dayton, OH on December 5, 1944 son of the late Sidney M. & Thelma Hollifield Boone and was a retired Insurance Salesman and a one time owner of Boone’s Corner Grocery in May’s Lick.  He served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War and was a member of the Maysville Church of Christ in Christian Union.  He was an avid pilot, enjoyed karaoke and travel.

            Survivors include his wife, Beverely Ferrell Boone; a son Bryan (Traci) Boone of Union, KY; a daughter Rebecca Boone of May’s Lick; a step-daughter Michelle Keeton of Covington, KY and a step-son Heath Keeton of Falmouth; five grandchildren and a special aunt Carol Hollifield of Statesville, NC.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Kenny Boone and a sister-in-law Barbara Campbell Boone.

            Memorial services will be conducted at 4 P.M. Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Maysville Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor Wilma Erwin officiating.  Military rites will be conducted at the church by Simon Kenton Post #2734 VFW.  Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory of May’s Lick is serving the family.  Memorials suggested to American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA  22202.  Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
