Mrs. Essie Mae Clark, 94, of Maysville, Kentucky died on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Clark was born in Maysville on July 13, 1927 daughter of the late Cammie Sir & Mary Lucy Finney Scott. She was a retired employee of Wald Manufacturing and a member of the Washington Missionary Baptist Church. She served as a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and was active in several civic organizations.
Survivors include two sons, John K. (Irene) Clark, Jr., Henry S. (Brenda) Clark; four daughters, Priscilla (Harry) Lewis, Joyce M. Clark, Gail (Kenneth) Dickson, and Lillie (Chris) Gallant; Eleven grandchildren including Dawnya L. Clark special granddaughter and caregiver, thirteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edith Marie Carter, Beulah Jackson and Geneva Scott. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John K. Clark, Sr. in 1997 and a granddaughter Rachelle Conners; three brothers, Johnny Scott, Bobby Scott and Benny Scott; three sisters, Verbena Scott, Betty Scott and Louise Scott.
Services will be conducted at 12 P.M. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Washington Missionary Baptist Church on Clark St. in Maysville with Pastor Randy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the May’s Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until 12 P.M. on Wednesday. All attendees are asked to be masked and practice social distancing.
