Jean Black, 67, of Maysville passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville. She was an office manager of Standard Tobacco Company for thirty-six years and a member of Scott United Methodist Church. She was a 1972 graduate of Maysville High School.
Jean was born in Maysville on September 13, 1954, daughter of the late John E. & Nettie Davis Black.
Survivors include a daughter, Tanisha Black; a grandson Tyler Black; a great grand -daughter Brinley Black; three sisters, Kay (Herschel) Taylor, Teresa Wilburn, Lisa (Cere) Myrick; seven brothers, Earl Black, Don (Dee) Black, Jerry (Tina) Black, Michael (Renee) Black, Mark (Rosemary) Black, Gregory (Laurie) Black, Derron Black; an Aunt Gloria Jackson; an Uncle George Davis; Special friends, Katrina (Deanie) Thomas, Rose (Shug) DeJanette, Lisa Jarrell, Karen Campbell and the McDowell family. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles R. Black, John Black, Jr. and a sister Cheryl A. Black.
Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Friday, May 13, 2022 at Scott United Methodist Church with Pastor Claude T. Commodore officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Baptist Cemetery.
