Ray Bothman, 59, of Maysville passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. Ray was born in Maysville, Kentucky on April 15, 1960 to the late Earl Ray, Sr. and Goldie Fryman Bothman. He was a proud graduate of the Maysville High School, a member of the Maysville First Christian Church, enjoyed golf, fishing and was an avid UK basketball fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Ethel Porter.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Debi Downing, his daughters; Chasity Bothman, Stephanie (Scotty) Thacker, and Jessica (Matt) Merchant, his granddaughters; Casey, Audrey & Sidney Thacker, a brother, Troy (Wendy) Bothman, brother in law Carl (Louise) Porter, and several nieces and nephews. He will also be mourned by his beloved canine companions; Calipari Demarcus Patterson Wall, Julius Randle, Moke Bo Ulis, KeKo Kevin Knox, Macy Kyle & Puck, and a cat, Genea Lowe.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 3 pm on Sunday, November 10 at the First Christian Church in Maysville with Pastor Molly Smothers & Rev. C. Wayne Barnett officiating. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm at the Church. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy are suggested to; the First Christian Church (18 E Third St. Maysville, KY 41056) and/or Lucky Tales Rescue (luckytalesrescue.org) or Queen City Bulldog Rescue, Cincinnati.
