Ricky A. Workman, Sr. 55, of May’s Lick passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 30,2022 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Ricky was born in Maysville on April 9,1966 son of Charles Workman of Maysville and the late Nadine Hunt Workman. He was a farmer and former employee of Tire World and a member of May’s Lick Baptist Church and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Ricky was a motorcycle enthusiast and fisherman.
Survivors include his father and his wife Jennifer Smitson Workman. A son Ricky A. (Tabetha) Workman Jr., a daughter Laura A. (Jeffrey Hardymon) Workman, a step-son Matthew P. Smitson; nine grandchildren, Russell Bauer, Stanley & Colton Hardymon, Brooklyn Workman, Ricky Workman III, Raven, Matheu, Gabriel and Owen Smitson; a brother, Donnie (Carol) Workman. He was preceded in death by his mother and an infant brother Charles Cecil Workman.
Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, April 2,2022 at May’s Lick Baptist Church with Bro’s Arron Cude and Kevin Cornett officiating. Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brooklyn Workman, Stanley and Jeffrey Hardymon, Russell Bauer, Jr. Ricky Workman, Jr. Matthew Smitson, Alicia Malone and Jason Morgan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie, Robert, Jeff, Randy Workman, Michael Anderson, Randy Meyer and David Hampton. Visitation will be held from Noon till 2 PM Saturday at the church.
