Lida Smith Crump, 87 of May’s Lick, KY passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at her residence.  She was a native of Nicholas County, KY and had lived in Dayton, OH, Gambrills, MD, Herndon , VA  and Houston, TX.
Mrs. Crump was born in Carlisle, KY on December 17, 1928 daughter of the late Everett D. and Sarepta Jane Hostetler Smith.  She was a homemaker and  attended Carlisle High School (1947); a member of Hillcrest Christian Church in Dayton, OH and Heights Christian Church and Oaks Christian Church in Houston, TX.  She was preceded in death by her husband James K. Crump on March 1, 2002; a brother, Samuel Warren Smith; a sister Idell Smith Rondolino; two great-grand daughters, Layla and Alayna Kohlman daughters of John Kohlman.  Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Crump Hall of Austin, TX; Linda Crump Kohlman of May’s Lick, KY; and Cindy Crump Czarnaski of South Riding, VA. She is also survived by two sisters, Gladys Smith Cook and Carol Smith Caswell both of Carlisle, KY; nine grandchildren, Michael, Denise and Sara Hall; Dana , Lauren, Leigh, John and Ross Kohlman; and James Czarnaski; fourteen great-grandchildren also survive.
