MAYSVILLE  Darrell “Huck” Cracraft, 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home, with his family and friends by his side.

Huck was spared much anguish and pain, not through medication, but through the mercy of Jesus Christ.  He had fought a long courageous battle with cancer for 15 years.  It was a battle he did not lose; he won the victory through Jesus.  “For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, external in the heavens” 2nd Corinthians 5:1

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Pauline Swearinger Cracraft.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Tilda Burns Cracraft, who learned through his illness “to help yourself is through helping others”.  Huck also leaves behind a best friend, Paul Burns who he considered his brother.

Huck owned and operated Huck’s Farm Equipment in Washington, Kentucky for 31 years.  He was a prominent businessman and had gained utmost respect from his peers.  Many of his old customers came from all over to show support and love to both he and his wife.  The visits from his pastor Mike Rice from the Sardis United Methodist Church where Huck and Tilda attended were greatly appreciated.

He also looked forward to his daily and weekly supporters, Deborah Sullivan, Paul & Elaine Burns, Paula & Billy Lewis, Darrell & Kathy Williams, Mark & Thuy Myers, Charlotte Reed and life-long friend, Diana Moody.  Huck could never praise enough the gentle and loving hands of the Hospice of Hope Ladies.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 PM Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory in May’s Lick with Dr. Michael Rice officiating; Interment will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery in Maysville.  A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.  Expressions of Sympathy are suggested to the Hospice of Hope (909) Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, Kentucky 41056 and/or Shriner’s Hospital (Shriner’s Hospitals for Children Medical Center, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, Kentucky 40508) online condolences may be given at www.palmerfuneralhome.net
