Raymond D. Bridges, 93 longtime resident of Maysville passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. 

            Raymond was born in Robertson County on June 13, 1923 son of the late Harvey & Carrie Simons Bridges.  He was a retired employee of Emerson Power Transmission and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII on the U.S.S. Hancock.  He was a dedicated member of Seddon United Methodist Church and a Kentucky Colonel.

            Survivors include his wife Irene Morgan Bridges; a daughter and son-in-law Joan and David Weaver of Erlanger; two sisters, Clarine Fritz and Louella Earlywine both of Maysville.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold Bridges and Roy Bridges.

            Services for Raymond Bridges will be conducted at 1 P.M. Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Seddon United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeremy Ruegg and Rev. Charlie Shoemaker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Wilson, Jack Dwelly, Bill Dearing, Ron Mains, Jerry Mains and Pete Woodruff.  Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Morgan and David Lawrence.  A visitation will be held at 11 A.M. Sunday at the church until the hour of the service.  Memorials suggested to Seddon United Methodist Church or the charity of one’s choice.
